During the holiday season, graduating high school students in Harrison County can work on and submit the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF)’s Universal Scholarship Application.

The HCCF Universal Scholarship Application enables graduating high school students to apply for the Building Our Future and Indiana University Southeast renewable scholarships, Founders Vocational scholarships and most of HCCF’s charitable endowment scholarships at the same time with one application.

The Universal Scholarship Application is open on HCCF’s website, hccfindiana.org. Applicants can access the application by going to the Scholarships tab and clicking High School Scholarship Opportunities.

Applications must be submitted online by 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20. Only complete applications will be considered.

Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit the email confirmation from the FAFSA to be considered. The website to fill out the FAFSA is www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on specific criteria, using a point-based system. Each applicant can earn points based on ACT/SAT test scores, grade point average, attendance, the type of diploma that will be earned upon graduation, dual credit courses completed, work experience, community service, extracurricular activities, and honors and awards.
