Students in a trade or vocational program will be able to apply for the Miles’ Fund scholarship through the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF).
The March 2018 application will be available the first week of February at www.hccfindiana.org in the Nontraditional Scholarships tab. Applications must be submitted online by Saturday, March 31 at 4 p.m. to be considered.
Applicants must be legal residents of Harrison County, be between 18 and 21 years of age and be studying in a vocational or trade program.
Scholarship funding may be used for tuition, books, course-related fees, required tools, uniforms or supplies. Tools, uniforms and supplies must be verified by the student’s course syllabus and class schedule. Preference is given to students who have not received funding in previous application cycles.
HCCF defines trade and vocational programs as higher learning focused on job skills training. Trade and vocational programs usually take less than two years to complete and do not result in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
