Mini-Grants

The Board of Directors has established a mini-grant opportunity to support small projects outside of our regular semiannual grant cycles. The purpose is to support unexpected costs such as emergency equipment repairs or purchases, special event support, or other non-routine, non-recurring expenses. If any mini-grants are awarded, the maximum total amount available each month will not exceed $1,500.00.

To apply, eligible Harrison County not-for-profit organizations, should submit a one-page letter explaining the purpose of the grant, total project cost, and why no other source of funding is available to achieve the objective. The letters should arrive at the Foundation office (hand-delivered or mailed) by the Monday one week prior to each board meeting, typically the first Monday of each month. The Board of Directors typically convene monthly on the first Monday and you will be notified of their decision the following day. Any denied requests may not be resubmitted for six months.
