The Harrison County Community Foundation elected Norbert
Rawert of Ramsey to the board of directors at its monthly meeting on Nov. 1.
Rawert fills the vacancy created by Carl Uesseler, who passed away in May.
Rawert, 54, is a 25-year resident of Harrison County. He and his wife, Elaine, have been married for 30 years and have four children and three grandchildren. He and his family are members of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
Rawert is a 1968 graduate of St. Xavier High
School in Louisville and earned an associate of general studies from Indiana
University Southeast in 1988. He served in the Kentucky Air National Guard
from 1969 to 1975.
Rawert retired in August 1999 from the Metropolitan Sewer District in Louisville as an urban area operations supervisor. He is currently the co-owner of Kennra Resources Inc., which performs OSHA-required annual safety inspections on hoists and cranes.
He has also served as the PTO vice president at North
Harrison and on the parish council and Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)
teacher at St. Bernard.
"I feel honored to have been selected to
serve on the HCCF Board. The Foundation has done an outstanding job of constantly
achieving its goal to improve the quality of life in our community. I look forward
to serving on the board with such a talented, dedicated, and diverse group of
individuals," he said.
