The Earl Saulman Memorial Scholarship Fund has recently been established with the Harrison County Community Foundation by the Corydon Central High School Dollars for Scholars.

The Fund will provide scholarship support to graduates of Corydon Central High School, where Saulman served as principal and was one of the co-founders of the school"s Dollars for Scholars program. Saulman also served as a school corporation trustee and was president of the Harrison County Council and the Corydon Rotary Club. He died in September 2004.

Mr. Saulman certainly left his imprint on Harrison County," said Steve Gilliland, HCCF executive director. "We are honored to partner with the Corydon Central High School Dollars for Scholars on the creation of this fund."

The Foundation matched this gift to create the Fund. Any additional donation is eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $25,000. Anyone who wishes to make a donation to the Earl Saulman Memorial Scholarship Fund may contact the HCCF staff at 738-6668 or mail donations to the Foundation, P.O. Box 279, Corydon, IN 47112. Checks should be made out to the Harrison County Community Foundation with the name of the fund in the memorandum line.
