Foundation Elects Advisory Members

At their regular monthly meeting on Jan. 9, the Harrison County Community Foundation Board of Directors elected five Harrison County residents to serve on the HCCF Advisory Council.

These new members will fill the vacancies created last month with the election of five new board members from the council. Advisory council members are elected to serve two-year terms.

Elected were:

Linda Burnham, Elizabeth, director of technology at South Harrison Community School Corp.;

Denise Harbeson, Corydon, materials management manager at Harrison County Hospital;

Bette Harper, Mauckport, Schuler Bauer Real Estate agent;

Larry Schmelz, Georgetown, management and finances at Corken Steel Products Co., and

Bill Taylor, Corydon, vice president of Regions Bank.

Additional Advisory Council members include Gary Geswein, Pam Bennett Martin, Pat Timberlake and Doug York.

"Our Advisory Council has proven to be an excellent addition to the Foundation ensemble. They have brought new voices to the Foundation, and we appreciate their willingness to serve Harrison County in this way," said Jane Kraft, president of the HCCF Board of Directors
