Wednesday, December 29, 2004

At their regular monthly meeting on Dec. 6, the Harrison County Community Foundation Board of Directors elected nine Harrison County residents to serve on the first HCCF Advisory Council. Each of these members will serve two-year terms. The nine Harrison Countians are:

Joyce Bliss, Central

Dr. Stephen Bodney, Corydon

Christopher Byrd, Corydon

Gary Geswein, Palmyra

Pam Bennett Martin, New Salisbury

Mark Shireman, Lanesville

Bill Thomas, Depauw

Patricia Timberlake, Corydon

Doug York, Corydon

"We are all very excited about the addition of this advisory council," said Brian Churchill, chairman of the HCCF Board Development Committee. "It will give more Harrison Countians an opportunity to serve on our committees, and they represent more geographical areas of the county and professional backgrounds."

The advisory council will join the HCCF Board of Directors, as non-voting members, at the first scheduled meeting in 2005 which is Monday, Jan. 3. This will enable them to become more familiar with the role of the Foundation in the community.
