Wednesday, February 6, 2008

At its January board meeting, the Harrison County Community Foundation Board of Directors elected five new Harrison County residents to serve on the HCCF Advisory Council. These new members will fill the vacancies created in December with the election of new board members from the council.

Those elected were Teresa Campbell of Elizabeth, facilities management with the Brown-Forman Co.; Heather Clunie of New Salisbury, CEO of LG&E Co. Credit Union; Donald Dones of Elizabeth, a retired teacher and school administrator; JoAnna Jarboe of Corydon, admissions counselor at Indiana University Southeast; and Glenn Walker of Laconia, coordinator with Mercer Transportation Co.

Additional advisory council members include Martha Beckort, Barbara Crecelius and John Winterkorn, all of Corydon, and Marion Wallace of New Salisbury.

The HCCF Advisory Council was established in December 2004. It is a goal to attempt diversity with attributes such as professional skills, geographic residency, socioeconomic background, race and gender. These members serve on various HCCF committees providing additional perspectives and expertise. Each advisory council member serves a two-year term that may be renewed.
