The Harrison County Community Foundation will again designate a portion of the 2006 grant allocation to provide the required match for grants from the Arts Council of Southern Indiana, which has a mid-April deadline. Up to $15,000 has been set aside for this purpose.
The HCCF began matching Arts Council grants in 2002. Past recipients have included South Harrison Community School Corp., the Gerdon Youth Center and Leora Brown School.
Anyone wishing to obtain a matching grant from the HCCF should forward a duplicate of their application submitted to the Arts Council of Southern Indiana to Julie Timberlake at HCCF, P.O. Box 279, Corydon, IN 47112 or hand deliver to the HCCF office at 405 N. Capitol Ave. in Corydon.
The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw this offer of matching funds for any awarded grant that the board of directors might consider inappropriate. Final approval will occur after the first Monday of the month immediately following the announcement of an Arts Council grant award.
