Capacity building – investing in effective performance and sustainability – is a challenge for several nonprofits, especially small nonprofits. Many nonprofit organizations in Harrison County are small with limited annual revenues, but they have achieved great things in the community.
The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is committed to helping Harrison County-serving nonprofits build their capacity to fulfill their missions and achieve more. HCCF will hold a viewing party for an Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) webinar, Capacity Building for Small Nonprofits, at the foundation, located at 1523 Foundation Way N.E. in Corydon. The webinar will occur on Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 10 to 11 a.m.
All staff and board members of small nonprofits serving Harrison County are invited to attend the webinar viewing party at no cost. The webinar will be designed for small nonprofits with less than $1 million in revenue and zero to five staff.
Capacity Building for Small Nonprofits will be the first webinar in IPA’s 2018 Capacity Building Series. The webinar will describe strategies small nonprofits can use to change, grow, innovate and continue to benefit the community.
In addition to holding a viewing party for the Capacity Building for Small Nonprofits webinar, HCCF will hold additional viewing parties for the other webinars in IPA’s 2018 Capacity Building Series. Capacity Building: What Mid-Sized Nonprofits Want and Need – the second webinar in the series – will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and it will be targeted toward nonprofits with revenue from $1 million to $10 million and between five to 25 staff. Capacity Building: What Large Nonprofits Want and Need – the final webinar in the series – will occur on Tuesday, March 20, and it will be designed for nonprofits with more than $10 million in revenue and 25 or more staff.
